MARBLE

Marble is one of those stones that is beautiful, classic, and timeless. Popular and desirable for its white backgrounds, you really should know how it will function in your space if you are thinking of using it in a high traffic area, such as your kitchen. Marble is a soft, porous stone and will be high maintenance to maintain its beauty. A dolomite, also referred as a hard marble, will require the same maintenance. Visit our Care & Maintenance page for additional details. It is recommended to visit our showroom to see stone options. FAQs

  • Marble countertops are not recommended for everyone. They are very beautiful stones that would be very high maintenance to maintain their beauty. With their elegant and timeless appearance, it is a look that is hard to replicate in other materials. For more information you can visit our care and maintenance page.

  • No. Marble is a porous natural material that is susceptible to staining. While marble countertops require regular maintenance, their beauty and elegance make the effort worth it.

  • Yes, marble is heat resistant, but we would not recommend putting hot pans on your counters as this will add to the wear and tear on the stone and break your sealer down faster.

  • Marble is timeless elegance that is hard to find in any other material. With a wide range of colors and patterns, white backgrounds and distinct veining deliver a look that will elevate your design.

  • While marble is beautiful you will need to seal your counters frequently to help fight the wear and tear. We would recommend 2-4 times a year, but this will not prevent the stone from staining or etching. If you like the look of a matte finish this will help camouflage the etching a little more. Most people that install marble in their kitchen like the look of the wear and tear on the stone and think it adds character to the stone.
