SOAPSTONE
The environmentally conscious clients appreciate soapstone as a green building material. It's completely chemical-free and 100 percent recyclable. Soapstone darkens over time, through a natural process similar to oxidation, so it will eventually develop a distinct patina. Enhance the natural darkening progression by applying mineral oil to the surface. Soapstone is nonporous, heat resistant, does not burn and is unaffected by acids and alkalis. Although soapstone has many benefits, it is a softer stone that will scratch and show some wear and tear. It is recommended to visit our showroom to see stone options.
